Upcoming Speakers

On the 19th of January, we've invited Ron Schroers, the Director of Recreation and Parks, to speak at our weekly meeting.

Also, on February the 2nd, Barb Lily is joining us.  Barb Lily is the Comprehensive Planner of the Carroll County Government.

Our weekly meetings start at 7am every Wednesday at Rafael's restaurant on Main Street in Westminster, Maryland.

Member Laura Russell created and submitted this wreath for Kiwanis at the Carroll Arts Center 13th Annual Wreath Festival.

 

Stop  by and take a tour of the 220+ unique wreath submissions between Dec. 1-5 (10am -4pm).  And if you see something you like, make a bid.  They're going silent auction style.  All proceeds go straight to the art community of Carroll County. 

Plus all of the wreaths in the Charity Challenge have the opportunity to win $250 for their charity.  The winner is based off having the most votes from the community.  Please consider ours when placing your vote.

"The Bells Will Be Ringing..."

Bill Rose of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Westminster Rings the Bell for the Salvation Army last weekend at the Westminster MD Wallmart. The club members volunteer every year during the holiday season to ring the bell.

Upcoming Guest Speaker: Robin Korotki

On January 5th, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Westminster will be welcoming Robin Korotki, a member of the Carroll Pets in Need Advisory Board, as our Guest Speaker for the week.

If you have any questions or comments you would like to ask her, have them prepared for the January 5th meeting (7am at Rafael's Restaurant as usual).

On Wed, December 8th (7am at Rafael's) Holly Hutchins, Deputy Director of the Humans Services Programs of Carroll County, will be speaking.  If you have any questions that you'd like to ask her, start preparing now!
